No pain, no gain

I’d like to share with you a brilliant piece published by Colin Lindsay, the Managing Director of The Alpha Group based in the U.K. It reminds me of a saying: NO PAIN, NO GAIN.

The pain of action is severe. It’s right in our face and it’s now, that’s why inaction tempts us. We think we’re safe if we don’t expose ourselves to failure. We don’t appreciate the significance of inaction because it’s slow and less obvious. That’s what makes it worse. The pain that comes with action is acute and gives you scars but it also makes you grow. The pain that comes from inaction is a lot less but it makes you soft, and eventually your mind and body deteriorate as a result. Take the pain and the gain every time.
